Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub Review

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my experience with the product.

Every month like clockwork, I’m stricken with a menstrual migraine. It’s been this way for years. Normally the headaches last a couple days at the beginning of my cycle and some months are worse than others. Most often, I’ll have pain over on side of my forehead, nausea, light & noise sensitivity and horrible neck pain. I think the neck pain is worse than the headache itself.

I don’t take any painkillers or migraine medication when the pain hits. Normally, I’ll take Tylenol and Advil. Even then though it doesn’t often work so I suffer. One thing that I find really helps to take the edge off the pain so I can function is Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub. I put a small amount on my fingers and massage the cream into the back of my neck. Within a few minutes, I feel it starting to work and permeate the painful and tight muscles. It lasts a couple hours and I can still feel its cooling effect. I do what I need to do to get through the day and this product really helps!

Tiger Balm is a brand that has been around for a long time and I’ve used their other products in the past. In fact, their ointment was created almost 100 years ago and millions of people worldwide use their products to treat aches and pains. Their newest product, Tiger Balm Neck & Shoulder Rub, is good for people who sit at a desk all day long and relieves tension and soothes tight muscles. My upper back is also very tight. My massage therapist said my rhomboids were full of knots at my last appointment. I work at the computer so it’s not really a big surprise that I’ve developed issues.

I like that this product isn’t greasy and doesn’t have a strong scent. I can put some on and then leave and go run some errands and not worry about smelling weird. If you are in an office, keep a tube in your purse or your desk and rub it in as needed. Your coworkers probably won’t even notice.
