TANDA Zap Power Review
Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
I’ve struggled with acne since I was 12 years old. Here I am at age 35 and I’m still breaking out. I don’t think it’s genetics since nobody in my immediate or extended family has ever had acne like I do. I just have extremely oily skin which is awesome for anti-aging, but stinks for acne prone skin. Thankfully my acne has improved a little over the years, but I still deal with breakouts on a monthly basis around my cycle.
Over the past 20+ years I’ve tried a large number of skin care products and treatments. I’ve had facials and chemical peels to try and get the acne under control. I’ve changed my diet and drank more water. I even stopped wearing makeup for a long time to see if that would help. It’s not as bad as it used to be and for that I’m grateful. I wish there was a magic pill I could take it and would make it so I’d never deal with acne again. Unfortunately, there is no magic pill, but there is a product that I recently tried that I’ve seen excellent results with!
It’s the TANDA Zap Power. I call it my little zit zapper. It’s a rechargeable device that incorporates a blue LED light, sonic vibration and a gentle warming to help clear or fade your zits within 24 hours. 85% of acne-causing bacteria is eliminated after 6 minutes use! That’s 2 minutes three times a day! The blue light technology destroys the P. acnes bacteria found on the surface of your skin. The sonic vibration and warming work to open your pores and make it easier for the blue light to work its magic. It also works to reduce redness, blemish size and inflammation without drying your skin.
Each treatment takes two minutes to do and is really very simple. After you’ve cleansed your face, press the orange button on the Zap Power to activate it. Place the device directly on the blemish and hold it there till it beeps. Then you can put it away or treat another blemish. They recommend using it three times a day.
I tend to get acne on my cheeks and sure enough, my cycle hit this month and I developed a red and painful monstrosity on my right cheek. I held back from wanting to pop it since I know that leads to scarring and used the Zap Power on it. It hurt a little because the zit was tender, but I pictured the blue light and vibrations going in there and killing all the nasty bacteria. After three uses, my zit was noticeably smaller and not at all painful. Those types of pimples normally take up to a week to completely disappear and I was shocked how quickly it sped up the recovery time on it. It didn’t burn or dry out my skin and only took 6 minutes out of my day to do. I think it’s worth it especially if it can sped up the healing process!
The Zap Power by Tanda is rechargeable and has battery indicator lights to let you know when it needs to be charged. It needs to be charged for four hours before you use it the first time.
I love that there’s no side effects like dryness or irritation. The best part though is that it really works!
The Zap Power by Tanda retails for $79 and can be purchased at Tanda.ca, Hudson’s Baby and TheBay.com nationwide.
