My children love craft projects so I was excited to learn about all of the arts and crafts ideas available at The Friendship Factory. Young crafters ages 8 and up can choose from a great selection of craft kits including the My Friendship Bracelet Maker, My Ribbon Barrette Maker, My Image Bracelet Maker, My Image Button Maker, My Lanyard Maker and the My Circle of Creativity.

My children thought that the My Image Button Maker ($29.99) would be fun and it exceeded our expectations. This set comes with everything children will need to make their very own buttons that they can share with friends and family. This unique craft set the button maker, 36 colorful button graphics to choose from in a variety of fun sayings and images, 12 button fronts, 12 button backs, 12 pins and 12 magnets. The instructions were easy to follow and in a flash the kids were showing off their stylish creations.

How does it work? Hannah and her brothers each chose their favorite button graphic and inserted it into the Image Button Punch and pushed down to cut out the insert in one simple move. Then the kids placed the image in the button casing. Next, they chose either the magnet or pin backing and inserted into the back which they then snapped into the front. Voila……the button is finished!

To make the process even more special and customized this product includes a FREE app on iTunes called the My Photo Sizer which allows kids to size custom snaps in order to make personalized Image buttons!

My Image Button Maker Review

While recommended for ages 8 and up (my kids are 8, 6 and 5) the My Image Button Maker worked fine with for all three of my children with my supervision. They proudly display the buttons on the refrigerator using the magnets and have given special pins to their friends. They had so much fun that they even pooled their allowances so that I could buy the refill kit to make more buttons.

The Friendship Factory has lots of fun craft ideas and these would be a fun idea for our next children’s birthday party to keep the kids having a good time working together.
