My Sensory Box Review
Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
One of the great things about being a product reviewer is that I get the opportunity to try new things all the time. While I love to try products that are exclusively for me or my husband, I especially love when I get to involve my kids in the reviews. At 4 and 2 they are so curious and excitable, and they love when a product arrives that they get to test out all on their own. I love watching them play and explore new products, and you can’t get a more honest review than from a toddler! I’m happy to share the rave reviews from my boys for a new company called My Sensory Box.
We received a garden themed sensory box for review. The box contained a garden tool, some plastic insects, finger puppet bees, garden gnomes, a few garden vegetables, garden pots, seed packets and various colors and sizes of pom-poms. My Sensory Box also provided the plastic bin for purposes of this review, but there’s no special container needed to play with the sensory toys since each themed box is created to fit into any 12 quart storage bin. From the second I emptied the box into the plastic container both of my boys were captivated. They loved digging through the little toys and exploring the pieces with their hands. What I love about this activity is that it brings my boys together – they play quietly and cooperatively with this set. They love showing each other the little things they discover in the box and we’ve made a game of counting and sorting the pom-poms. Another great bonus to this particular theme is that it’s helping with my younger son’s fear of bugs. We’ve been able to convince him to hold the plastic insects and learn more about them. My boys ask to play with this set all the time, and I’m glad to let them.
Sensory play is an ideal way for children to learn, which is why My Sensory Box was created. With each themed box, they provide hands on learning that is both visually and texturally attractive for children. Every box they send out includes activities that are developmentally appropriate and stimulating. My Sensory Box delivers endless opportunities for creative play while simultaneously helping children develop their fine motor skills, sorting and classification skills, their vocabulary and so much more. My Sensory Box is available on a monthly subscription basis for $29.95 per month, or $330 for a full year.
