ClubW.com Review

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.

While I am not a wine expert, I enjoy a nice glass of wine and gravitate towards the sweeter, dessert wines. I have found that I generally don’t care for the taste of dry less sweet wine therefore I am less willing to try new wines that I think I won’t like.

When I discovered ClubW.com, I was excited to discover an online wine club that helps customers to discover their unique wine personality based upon personal tastes, similar to a wine matchmaking service. This is such an interesting and fun way to discover new wines….but of course I would only like the sweet wines, right?!

What makes ClubW.com so unique is that you can take a palate profile test and then try new wines from around the world. The value pricing is excellent especially in regards to the wines that I tasted which were exceptional in terms of taste and packaging.

The Palate Profile Test is taken online and you will answer six simple questions to determine what type of wine you enjoy. The multiple choice quiz includes questions such as “How do you like your coffee?” (with cream and sugar of course). Once you have completed the Palate Profile Test then you will receive your Personal Recommendations which are a selection of hand-chosen wines that the ClubW.com wine curators think would best suit your taste palate.

Every wine available at ClubW.com has a short video featuring a curator who introduces you to the origin of the wine and tasting notes. I found this to be very interesting and loved learning more about the different wines I would have the opportunity to taste.

You can then select 3 (or more) bottles of wine to make up your monthly box which is shipped directly to your door. You can even browse the entire selection to pick the exact wines that you know you would enjoy. I will admit that I wanted to select my own wines instead of going with my personal recommendations because many of the choices selected didn’t seem to be as sweet as I would normally enjoy. In order to thoroughly try out this service, I did receive a bottle of recommended wine in addition to the wines that I personally selected. Imagine my surprise when I tasted the 2012 Geronimo Chardonnay (my palate profile selection) and found it to be absolutely delicious. This would never have been a wine that I would have selected on my own because I mistakenly assumed that I wouldn’t enjoy it but thanks to ClubW.com I have been able to broaden my wine choices and discovered delicious new wines.

I also enjoyed very much the Banyan Creek Gewurztraminer, Cantina Ericina Tonnara Rosso IGT and the Domaine La Milliere VDP Vaucluse Rouge. You may choose from categories including Featured Wines ($13), Curator’s Choice ($19) and popular Still Available ($13) wines. I love that this is a subscription service that doesn’t make you commit on a long term basis so you can cancel or suspend your service at your discretion. I will definitely continue to order from ClubW.com because it is a wonderful way to discover wonderful new wines from around the world in the comfort of my own home and without breaking the budget.

ClubW.com will send you three bottles of quality wine of your choice for only $39 plus $6 shipping and if you order 6 bottles or more shipping is free!

Exclusive offer for Simply Stacie readers who can receive a FREE bottle of wine by getting started at ClubW.com! To get started you are invited to visit ClubW.com and use coupon code “411stacie” (case sensitive)……..let’s raise our glass to ClubW.com!
