TasteBook Review & Giveaway (US & Can)

*I received a copy of this book for review, but was not compensated financially in any way. The opinions expressed are my own and are based solely on my experiences while reading this book.*

When my Dad passed away in 2012, we lovingly remembered him for his amazing blueberry muffin and banana bread recipes…..just like me he loved to cook for his family! I was very excited to have the opportunity to create my own custom cookbook from TasteBook. This is such a wonderful way to compile favorite family recipes and turn it into a beautiful, treasured TasteBook!

TasteBook Review

What is TasteBook? It is an online community where cooks and home chefs can discover new recipes, share recipes and connect with others who share a passion for cooking. The best part about TasteBook in my opinion is that readers can create a custom cookbook with up to 100 favorite recipes!

TasteBook Review

Creating my Tastebook was so much easier than I imagined because the process is extremely user friendly. There is no hard to use software required and I designed and created the entire cookbook including the cover online. I simply contacted family and friends and asked them to submit their favorite recipes to me so that I could upload the recipes to TasteBook. I could even add photos of my recipes too! I was able to manage recipes by adding chapters of my choice including meals, ingredients, holidays and/or people. I chose to divide my recipes by “Brunch & Bread”, “Appetizers & Drinks”, “Soups & Salad”, “Sides & Bites”, “Vegetables” etc. My favorite part of making the custom cookbook is that I could personalize my introduction and add a favorite family photo featuring our love of good food. I decided to write a letter to my husband and children explaining why I had made this cookbook and my hope that it will become a family heirloom.

TasteBook Review

My finished Tastebook was even better than I could have ever imagined as it looks exactly like an actual cookbook. This personalized hardcover cookbook is professionally printed and I actually cried when I saw my Dad’s blueberry muffin recipe in print…he would have been so proud! I also included some of our own personal family recipes so that I can someday pass on this cookbook on to my young daughter as she loves to spend quality time with me cooking in our kitchen.

TasteBook Review

I am so pleased with the overall experience creating my Tastebook and treasure the actual cookbook. There are so many great ways to turn a Tastebook into a gift idea i.e. a personalized wedding present, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or a special birthday present.
