Tonight’s the night! Last month I talked about reconnecting with Season One of Oxygen’s I’m Having Their Baby and shared my anticipation for the debut of Season Two. Well, that day is finally here. Watch the first episode of I’m Having Their Baby tonight (June 12th) at 10/9c. I’m excited to get to know the families in season two.
If you aren’t yet familiar with Oxygen’s I’m Having Their Baby, let me catch you up to speed. It’s a documentary-style series that follows real life women on their journey to give their baby up for adoption. It’s a unique look at the emotional and heart-wrenching decision that each women must make. Each episode follows two different birth mothers as they prepare to give their baby up. We don’t often hear the story of a birth mom and that’s what makes it very different from any other show I’ve seen on TV. I’ve never personally experienced adoption so it’s very eye-opening and touching to see first-hand what the adoption process involves.
Season two will introduce us to new birth moms and their families and we will see how their lives are affected. In some cases, we will also meet the adoptive parents and learn a bit about their history. I’m really sensitive and have been moved to tears in every episode I’ve watched in season one. I try to put myself in the shoes of the birth mothers and can see how painful and difficult their decision is to give their baby up.

I’ve never heard of this show before! It sounds really good and really heart-wrenching, too! I’ll have to check it out!
First time I’ve heard of this show as it’s already in its second season? Must be pretty good then.
I’ve heard of this show, but not yet watched it.
Looks like a moving show, can’t wait to watch!
Hello, Stacie.
As you mentioned, that is interesting to see things from the Mother giving up her baby. I like to see situations from different viewpoints so this would be great to see but I do not think we can get Oxygen in Canada and if we can we do not pay for this specialty channel so I am unable to see it. You’ll have to enjoy it for me, Stacie.
I DVR’d it, can’t wait to watch it when I get a break today!
Sounds really exciting to watch these shows and see the differents and way they decide on what they are doing in their lives. Not everyone has these issues in their lives so we may learn from watching this. thanks
