Post Sesame Street Cereal Review

Like me, my boys love cereal. They’ve tried a bunch of different kinds, from the typical sugary kids cereal to the more grown up flavors that I like. When they find something they like, they’ll typically want to eat it every day for a while – and when it comes to cereal that means with milk for breakfast and dry as a snack during the day. Being in a bit of a cereal rut lately I was glad to have the opportunity to review a new kid’s cereal from Post.
I received two boxes of the new Post Sesame Street cereals, one in each of the two flavors available, apple and banana, plus a cute little plastic place mat. My boys were instantly drawn to the boxes as they recognized two of their favorite Sesame Street characters – Elmo on the apple-flavored box, Cookie Monster on the banana box. They were happy to give the cereal a try based on the box alone! The shapes of the cereal are simple, with no marshmallow fillers. Both my boys wanted to try the Elmo apple-flavored box first, so I poured them both a bowl to taste. Then we tried the banana right after. Both really liked the flavor each – and I do too! My little guy likes the cereals so much that he insists on having some for a snack throughout the course of the day. I don’t mind letting him have as much as he wants because the cereal is low in sugar, has no artificial flavors, and is loaded with vitamins and minerals. I think it makes for a quick and healthy snack that I’m happy to give my two boys. It’s great not only at breakfast with milk, but as a dry snack for lunchboxes.
