KidsHeritage Inc. Personalized Children’s Books Review & Giveaway (US)

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.

My children and I are big fans of personalized children’s books so we were excited to learn about the fabulous titles available at KidsHeritage Inc. The author, Deanna Bufo Novak is passionate about elevating personalized children’s books to new levels as this company will take children on an exciting adventure around the world as they explore their heritage and culture.

My Heritage Book ($42.95) is a custom made heirloom quality book that introduces children to their personal heritage. This award-winning hard cover book is a treasure that can be fully personalized with up to 4 countries of origin (there are 72 different countries to choose from) and includes a lovely note written to the child from the giver. The illustrations by Alicia Bresee are beautiful and capture the spirit of each country perfectly. The introduction explains to the child or children about what it means to have tradition and heritage that is passed down from generation to generation. My three children are ages 5, 6 and 8 and their eyes would light up at the sound of their names mentioned throughout the book and they were very engaged in the story of their heritage.

For my three children, I chose to include the United States, Canada and Germany for their Heritage Book. I was very impressed with the fascinating and engaging way that the author includes all of the interesting facts that were presented for each country and my children absolutely relished every page of this book. They especially loved learning about the French Canadian province of Quebec where their maternal grandmother was born and Germany where their father’s family immigrated from in the early 1900’s. They had fun practicing saying “hello” and “goodbye” in French and German too.

My five year old son, Jacob is learning all of his letters and letter sounds and really enjoyed the personalized children’s book title, ABC’s Around the World ($37.95 or non-personalized for $18.95). His official book “passport” in the introduction of this book included his personal information and even his photo as he prepared to “head off around the world”. It includes maps, fabulous illustrations and rhyming text for each country such as “A is for Australia” and “N is for Norway” with several educational facts noted for each one from A to Z. All three of my children are at different levels in the reading process so it was good practice for all of them. My eight year old read this book to my younger children who had a blast trying to guess the rhyming word to come next in the text. There are even loads of fun facts at the end of the book which we used for additional unit studies in our homeschool geography and social studies class.

I was very impressed with the quality and content of the children’s personalized book titles available at KidsHeritage Inc. These are the types of books that I cherish reading with my children and I look forward to storing away to pass along to my future grandchildren.

You are invited to visit KidsHeritage Inc. to browse all of the available titles or to start creating your very own personalized My Heritage Book or ABC’s Around the World! These would make excellent gift ideas and there are even posters, puzzles and more too.
