Crocs A-Leigh Linen Wedge Review
Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
I breathed a sigh of relief when our snow finally melted. Finally, I could ditch the bulky winter coat and boots and start wearing some cute spring outfits and shoes! I also despise winter driving but that’s a whole other blog post….here I want to introduce you to my new pairs of Crocs from the 2013 Spring and Summer Collection.
Yes, I did say Crocs. I know the collection was not at all what I expected. John owns a pair of the original Crocs and that’s what I had initially pictured. He loves his pair and says they are very comfy, but I wanted something a little more dainty. I found the perfect sandal! The Crocs A-Leigh Linen Wedge is exactly what I wanted. They are a feminine and timeless style. I can wear them with shorts, skirts, dresses and even my skinny jeans. I love the versatility!
The A-Leigh Linen Wedge is new for 2012. The 2 ¾ inch heel is wrapped in jute and inspired by espadrilles. I’m terrible at walking in heels, but I can walk normally in these sandals. They don’t even feel like I’m wearing heels at all. I like the lift it gives me. I don’t feel as short standing next to John.
I know some people will say they prefer style over comfort. I don’t. I would rather be comfortable. If the shoe isn’t comfy, I won’t wear it no matter how cute it is. Thankfully, the Crocs A-Leigh Linen Wedge is BOTH comfortable and stylish. They have a Crocs Croslite footbed with little massage pods that cradle the sole of your foot. They are so light and it doesn’t even feel like I have anything on my feet.
They have an adjustable ankle strap so you can get the best fit possible. Right now mine is set to the smallest setting, but I’ll probably have to adjust if my feet swell in the summer heat.
The A-Leigh Linen Wedge comes in a few different colours: Black/Chai, Oat/Chai, Parrot Green/Chai and Hot Pink/Chai. I have a pair in Oat/Chai (pictured above) and Black/Chai (pictured below). I wanted more neutral colours that would go with the majority of clothes I wear.
My mom came for a visit a few weeks ago and I showed her my new sandals. She fell in love and wanted to take a pair home with her. We have the same shoe size. I told her that I love her, but she was going to have to buy a pair of her own to wear. They are $79.99 on the Crocs website.
If you were thinking Crocs on has the clogs, think again and check out their site. I think you will be surprised at how fashionable their collection is for women, men, girls and boys.
