I remember when it was first announced that a new My Little Pony series was starting how less than thrilled I was. I loved the look of the ponies from my childhood, and wasn’t sure that this series would be any good. Three seasons in, and I now have two pony t-shirts, a wallet, and several DVDs which I give to my daughter. My daughter has countless pony dolls and a couple necklaces she wears from Hot Topic.
This is a fun collection of episodes, and the episodes also contain some catchy songs. My favorite song is in Magical Mystery Cure; I’m sure soon enough after my daughter has watched the episodes a hundred times I’ll have all the words memorized and be singing right along.
We don’t have cable, so the only way we get to see new episodes of the show are thanks to the DVD releases. My daughter always gets excited when I tell her we’ll soon be watching episodes she hasn’t seen.
The My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series on the Hub far surpassed my expectations. I look just as forward to new episodes as my daughter, and even my husband gets into the show as well.
