Book Review | Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska
Title: Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska
Author: Tricia Goyer & Ocieanna Fleiss
My Review:
Love Finds You in Glacier Bay, Alaska by Tricia Goyer & Ocieanna Fleiss is a romance novel with a strong connection to faith and God. The book is set in Glacier Bay, Alaska, in the 1920’s and present day. The story takes us into the life of Ginny Marshall, a budding singer who has had a hard life. She travels to Alaska to find answers to the many questions she has, and is introduced to Ellie, through a box full of old letters from the 1920’s.
This book is a quick read and is full of hope and promise of a life filled with love. The authors paint a beautiful picture of the Alaskan scenery. Having traveled there myself, the pictures they paint in your mind still do not do it justice, but it does give you a glimpse into the raw beauty of the wilderness of the North. The love story between Ginny and Brett is a tale told many times, of losing and finding love.
I thought the story was cute and easy to read. It is not a book I would read again, and I will be passing it on to someone else. There is a strong presence of God in the book so if you are not a religious person, this book may not be for you. However, if you have a connection to your faith and enjoy a good, clean love story, then read on. You may find inspiration and a closer connection to your faith in God and love.
