Kiwi Crate Review
My three young homeschooled children love to receive mail and craft projects are a favorite part of our school day. Kiwi Crate is the perfect addition to our homeschool enrichment program. I am not particularly crafty so putting together specific projects is always a challenge for me. Therefore, I was very excited to discover Kiwi Crate which takes most of the work out of my having to plan and set up craft projects and activities. Kiwi Crate is the perfect addition to our homeschool enrichment program!
Kiwi Crate is a subscription service that is designed for kids between the ages of 3-7. The Kiwi Crate box will arrive at your home packed with a selection of fun themed craft projects that are ready to make. Almost everything that you will need for each activity is already included in the crate with perhaps just a few items that you may need to provide from around the house.
There is a large selection of Kiwi Crates to choose from and I love the educational focus in areas such as science, art, music etc. Not only are children learning with each Kiwi Crate but they are having a blast too. My own children get so excited with each activity and they really like the Caring for Earth Crate. Developed in honor of Earth Day, there were exciting projects such as the Paper Making Kit and their favorite, the Reusable Bag decorated with leaf prints. In addition, there were other fun ideas teaching children how to repurpose items from around the house such as a calendar creatively made using an old CD case.
The Reusable Bag was a lot of fun as the children had collected ferns while on a nature walk (the kit also provided a leaf and flower that could also be used). They molded an oval shaped piece of clay, added the leaf and then pressed it in the green ink pad using this to decorate the bag with fun leaf prints. The bag turned out great and the kids take it with them proudly to the farmer’s market to store their goodies. What is really neat is that they were able to turn the clay with the leaf print into a pendant necklace by poking a hole in it with a pencil and then leaving it outside for a day to dry…..very creative!
I highly recommend purchasing a Kiwi Crate subscription because it is something that is sure to be a hit each month with your child and it would also make a fabulous gift idea. You can even purchase an individual crate for $19.95 and be sure to check because sometimes you can find a great special price too! Since I have three children, I love that I can add on to the primary membership with a sibling add-on for only $7.95 which will include extra materials to avoid having the dreaded fighting over who is going to do each activity. If you are looking for fun party ideas then check out this party pack option from Kiwi Crate where you can even select the perfect color to match your party decorations.
With crates available in themes such as Fairy Fun, Space Hero, Busy With Bugs, Wild Safari, Farmer’s Market and Wind Power, there is sure to something fun for a special child or children in your life. You are invited to head over to Kiwi Crate to select the subscription option or individual crate of your choice and while you are there be sure to check out the top quality arts and crafts supplies which are available for a limited time only.
