VeggieTales® The Little House That Stood DVD Review
My children are big fans of VeggieTales® and I love the wholesome message, fun and silly characters and entertaining theme that go along with every single show.
In the latest DVD release, VeggieTales® The Little House That Stood all of your favorite VeggieTales characters including Larry the Cucumber, Bob the Tomato, Mr. Lunt and others return with a lesson in making good choices in life.
This fun show gets hilarious for little ones when the Three Little Pigs come to Cabbageville wanting to build new houses and meet three builders, one who has a plan and the other two who are clueless. The builders choose to use bricks, hay and a firm “foundation” using plans from the “Master Builder’s Handbook”. What will the Three Little Pigs choose to use to build their houses? Will they ultimately make the right choices so they can live a solid life? This adorable parable is a great way for children to learn about standing strong in life and have lots of giggling laughs while watching too!
My children also loved the unique retelling of the classic story of Humpty Dumpty in the story, The Good Egg of Gooseville” which explains the events leading up to Humpty Dumpty’s famous crack after falling off the wall. My five year old son has requested to watch this several times and thinks it is hilarious.
We all love singing along and dancing to the fun VeggieTales songs (we even saw them “live” in concert once) so we were delighted to learn a new Silly Song featured on this DVD, titled-Happy Tooth Day!
Without a doubt, this new VeggieTales DVD has been a hit with our family and I love that it includes a discussion guide for free on the website so I can use it as part of our homeschool bible class. There are also free coloring pages to print out too!
VeggieTales The Little House That Stood was released on DVD on 3/5/13 and is available for purchase at major retailers and online at the VeggieTales.com. These would be great additions to Easter baskets and I noticed it is currently on sale for only $11.99 (SRP is $14.99) at the VeggieTales website!
