Scholastic Storybook Treasures The Springtime Collection Review
My three children, ages 5, 6 and 7 have declared that spring is their favorite season of the year. Therefore, we were excited to watch the latest title from Scholastic Storybook Treasures-The Springtime Collection featuring Max’s Chocolate Chicken. This 3-DVD compilation includes thirteen stories including Max’s Chocolate Chicken, The Red Hen and Chicken Little.
Scholastic Storybook Treasures DVDs are a favorite enrichment resource in my family. This award-winning early literacy animated video series brings favorite storybooks “alive” on screen for children to enjoy. Each story has the text appear on the screen so budding readers can try to read along with the video.
Storybook Treasures-The Springtime Collection includes classic stories such as The Red Hen and How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food? My youngest children ages 5 and 6 love Max and Ruby (the beloved brother and sister bunny duo) so they loved watching Max’s Chocolate Chicken. We also discovered some new books that we will have to check out of the library because we enjoyed the shows so much i.e. Otto Runs for President, The Great White Man-Eating Shark and The Three-Legged Cat.
Each Scholastic Storybook Treasures DVD enhances values, life skills and a love for learning supporting problem solving, friendship, early reading skills and so much more. My children are all in different stages of the learning process and I enjoy seeing how each of them takes away something different from each show when we discuss it together after watching it.
The Springtime Collection is recommended for ages 2-7 which is right on target for the appropriate age group in my opinion. There are so many amazing best-selling book DVD titles to choose from at Scholastic Storybook Treasures.
