My Giggle Box Review
“Mommy, can we do a craft?”…..this is a question that I have dreaded being asked in the past because I am not the craftiest person and it is hard for me to figure out what kind of craft to set up for them. Thankfully, My Giggle Box has “rescued” me and know when my kids ask to do a craft or project I can make their day with something fun from their own Giggle Box!
What is My Giggle Box? The fun packed Giggle Boxes are designed for children ages three to six years old and are mailed monthly. My three children ages 5, 6 and 7 get so excited when they receive something in the mail…their eyes just light up! They were thrilled when their My Giggle Box, Ultimate Activity Kit arrived and they immediately wanted to get busy working on the projects.
I home educate my children and love to discover enrichment activities. I was very impressed with our first delivery of the Ultimate Activity Kit from My Giggle Box because the February kit featured a “Presidential Past” theme which I could apply to our history curriculum. This box was literally FULL of crafts and activities and includes Outdoor Adventures (our personal favorite), Parent & Me and The Giving Project where the children can make something to give to a special person.
My seven year old son is learning about the Presidents and his favorite is Abraham Lincoln. He enjoyed making an Abraham Lincoln craft magnet that he proudly displays on our refrigerator. My six year old daughter really liked making a “Secret Message in a Bottle” which she is presenting to her beloved Nana on her birthday. The George Washington Wig project made with cotton balls is going to be so much fun for the kids to re-enact the crossing of the Delaware. I appreciate the inclusion of “fun facts” about several Presidents which can be used as a memory or trivia game or simply a fun way to learn about the Presidents.
We recently had two straight days of storms and rain showers so Adam chose to read the hardcover picture book included in the My Giggle Box, titled “A Cookie For the President”. We had fun doing the Parent & Me project together which is the Love Frame i.e. a real picture frame that can be decorated as a keepsake for someone special. When the storms had passed, the kids were ready to head outside to observe (with the included magnifying glass) “What’s In Your Backyard?” and complete the project book with markers and they created the “Backyard Treasures” book which they read to their impressed Dad.
If you can imagine, these are just a taste of the activities and projects included in this one My Giggle Box…there is still so much more for us to do!
I am very impressed with the My Ultimate Giggle Box and these are the perfect gift idea for a special child in your life. It would also be excellent to have on hand for rainy days or when your child ultimately claims, “I am bored and have nothing to do!” Simple open up your Giggle Box and let then select a fun activity or craft.
