Energizer Change Your Clock Change Your Battery Program Review

Did you remember to change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors when you changed your clocks back on November 4th? If not, please hurry out and purchase new batteries as soon as possible because it may just save your life and the lives of those that you cherish the most. Did you know that “38% of fatal fire injuries occur in homes with no smoke alarms, while 24% occur in homes in which at least one smoke alarm is present but fails to operate, frequently due to dead or missing batteries”?

Energizer® and the International Association of Fire Chiefs have partnered together with the Change Your Clock Change Your Battery® program to raise awareness about the importance of having working smoke alarms in your home. In fact, Energizer® is proud to have donated 250,000 batteries and additional Energizer® family safety products to fire departments all across the United States as part of their Home Safety Days which were distributed to local families across the nation… wonderful is that?!

Our family uses Energizer® batteries in all of our important home devices including our smoke detectors. We recently began using Energizer® MAX® Batteries with Power Seal Technology because it can hold a charge for up to 10 years when stored while still providing the ultimate in performance.

As part of our Family Safety Kit we received The Talking Alarm™ from Kidde which is both a smoke and carbon monoxide detector and of course we keep it running using Energizer® MAX batteries. This ingenious device has a voice along with the loud alarm so it is excellent for families, the elderly or homes like ours with small children.

For those who aren’t aware, my young son suffered a severe burn injury several years ago when he fell into a campfire. I am passionate about promoting fire safety awareness especially for children and one of the ways that we keep our home safe is by using flameless candles. The Energizer® Flameless Wax Candle is available in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and designs and you are going to love the look of a realistic candle flicker and even enjoy the scented wax candle aroma with no worries that it will cause a fire or that anyone will get burned.
