John once told me that he broke up with a girl he was dating in high school because she always had chapped lips. I remember thinking that was a crazy reason to dump someone. I can understand if you weren’t compatible or you liked someone else, but chapped lips? Seriously? Well he was! I guess I should worry about getting chapped lips right?!
My lips normally only get dry in the winter because of the cold and wind. I usually have to take extra care of them to keep them moist and healthy. I’ve got two new products to help me this winter season: Blistex Moisture Melt and Blistex Simple & Sensitive Lip Balm.
Blistex Moisture Melt is an ultra-moisturizing lip balm made with shea butter and aloe-enriched soft beads. When you look at the tube, I can see the little blue beads instead but they melt into your lips as you apply it so its nice and smooth. It has a sweet, minty flavour and keeps my lips moisturized for hours after I apply it. Plus, it contains sunscreen which I often forget to apply in the colder months.
Blistex Simple and Sensitive is a hypo-allergenic and non-irritating lip moisturizer designed specifically for people with sensitivities. It only has six ingredients (cocoa butter, sunflower seed oil, jojoba, vitamin E, Microcrystalline Wax and a preservative, Phenoxyethanol. There’s no flavour or smell. I actually really like using it especially when I’m eating or drinking so the flavour of the lip balm doesn’t transfer to what I’m eating. I would rather my daughter use this one so she doesn’t lick her lips because of the sweetness of the other lip balms in the house.
Both products are now in drug stores, grocery stores and mass retailers nationwide. A little goes a long way so I expect both of these lip balms to last me all winter! I need to keep my lips healthy so John doesn’t run and hide! Also, makes a great stocking stuffer!
Three readers will each win Blistex Moisture Melt and Blistex Simple & Sensitive Lip Balm.
