Black & Decker 2-in-1 Food Processor and Blending Jar Review
I’ve never owned a food processor before and I’ve always just skipped recipes that required them. It’s been on my list of wants for awhile and now I’ve got one! I was almost giddy with excitement as I thumbed through my cookbooks looking for recipes to make. I made do before with a blender, but having a food processor lets me do so much more!
O.co (formerly known as Overstock.com) sent me a Black & Decker 2-in-1 Food Processor and Blending Jar. I also needed a blender since our last one died so it was perfect that the product had both items I required.
It can do so much! It slices, shreds, chops, grates, purees and blends. It does everything just about except maybe clean up the kitchen mess.
As a food processor, its perfect to puree soup. It’s much easier than painstakingly pouring cup by cup into the tiny Bullet Blender I used to use. It holds 10 cups so it pretty much does the entire pot! It saves me so much time.
I also eat low carb and have made low-carb pizza crust out of cauliflower as well as pureed cauliflower as a topper for Shepherd’s Pie. I puree up the cauliflower and it’s ready in no time for my dish.
The only issue I had was in the assembly when I first got it. I could not get the Food Processor to turn on and I “thought” I put it together correctly. There’s lots of parts so I ended up making a mistake when I looked at the diagram. The food processor has a safety feature so it won’t turn on if it’s not assembled correctly. I appreciate that because I wouldn’t want to hurt myself, but I was also frustrated with the directions trying to figure out where I went wrong. I ended up discovering my error and it works now. Let me just say that I’m not that great at assembling products and normally leave that to John!
The blender was super easy to put together. It’s basically just locking everything into place and adding in your ingredients and then turning on. It holds 6 cups. I make yogurt smoothies and milkshakes in there- yum!
The Black & Decker 2-in-1 Food Processor and Blending Jar is $107.06 CAD on O.co. They have a huge selection of products at bargain prices. You can seriously spend hours on that site! Trust me I know from experience!
