Vampire Dog DVD Review

My kids love the fall season and eagerly anticipate Halloween. We love to watch fun, not so spooky movies together as a family. They were very excited to watch Vampire Dog. Featuring Norm McDonald as the voice of Fang, Vampire Dog is a fun live action family romp about a 12 year old boy, Ace who inherits a 600 year old Transylvanian dog. Is Fang out for blood? No, this adorable Vampire Dog likes to lick jelly from a bowl and speaks English. Ace and Fang have to outwit the mad scientist Dr. Warhol and her silly assistant Frank who hope to capture Fang for anti-aging experiments.

I like that this movie is a film for the Halloween season that focuses on positive values such as the power of friendship, teamwork and courage. This is a rare children’s movie that both my husband and I equally enjoyed as much as the kids. We were howling with laughter at the silly antics and rooting for Ace and Fang as they went on a series of misadventures. It engaged my seven year old without being too scary for both my six and five year old children.

Vampire Dog is now available for purchase on DVD at major retailers and online for the SRP of $14.95!
