Influence Positive Change with Aviva Community Fund Charity Contest
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Aviva Community Fund for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’m a firm believer in supporting my local community which is why the annual initiative hosted by Aviva Insurance really resonates with me. The Aviva Community Fund goal is to influence positive change in communities across Canada. Every year they host a competition where people can submit their ideas about what they can do to improve their local area.
Aviva Insurance understands that no one knows local communities better than the people actually living there. It makes perfect sense that they will be the one to come up with ideas on what’s needed for positive change and then have the winning ideas funded by the Aviva Community Fund.
I call a small town in the Annapolis Valley, NS home for over three years now. I can think of a number of ways that the Aviva Community Fund could make a big difference for the residents of our town. For example, we are in need of a nice park area for kids to play with playground equipement and benches for parents to sit. We also don’t have a community centre. It would be wonderful to have programs for kids and adults in our town.
Aviva Community Fund Charity Contest
The Aviva Community Fund is a whopping $1,000,000 that is broken up into multiple prizes giving people more ways for their idea to win. For instance, up to $150,000 will be awared to a broker supported idea and qualifying at-risk-youth idea. $5,000 will be awarded to each additional idea in the finals.
You can enter by submitting your idea on how you would create positive change in your community with the Aviva Community Fund. Then tell all your friends and family to vote because the top 90 ideas will move into the semi-finals. During the semi-finals, Canadians will vote again and the top 30 will move to the final round. From there, the judges take over to select the top ideas to share the $1,000,000 Aviva Community Fund! Canadian citizens and residents of Canada are eligible to enter.
I encourage you to put your thinking caps on and submit your ideas to the Aviva Community Fund Charity Contest.
