Rubbermaid LunchBlox Review
School is either in session already or just about to start here in the US. With everyone trying to get out the door at the same time every day, it makes for busy mornings in most households. That’s why I like to do as much as I can the night before, including making lunches. I like to give my husband a nice variety of food and snacks for his work day, portion-controlled of course, and my oldest son takes a snack with him to pre-school on the days he goes. I was glad to have a chance to review the new Rubbermaid LunchBlox to see how it could benefit both my husband and son (and me!).
The Rubbermaid LunchBlox kits are modular containers that are meant to snap together in different configurations to fit into any lunch bag. Each container helps with portion control (with handy measurements on the sides of each one). Together, the system stays cool with the snap-in Blue Ice pack. Each piece is and easy to open and close, which is ideal for little hands. The containers are BPA free and microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. The Sandwich Kit contains two snack containers, one side container, one sandwich container and one medium blue ice and has an MSRP of $12.99. Individual containers are sold separately so you can customize the system for your needs.
I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight the Sandwich Kit is (even with the ice pack attached). My oldest son was able to open and close each piece easily – so I am confident he will be able to use these containers at school. They are also perfect for my husband’s lunch and snacks – the containers ensure that the food won’t get smashed during his morning commute! The ice pack is a bonus for hot days or if I decide to include perishable foods. Rubbermaid is a name I know and trust and they certainly didn’t disappoint with this lunch system. These containers are great for any member of your family – and are a good size to toss in your diaper bag/purse for the kids’ snacks!
