Book Review | The Romanov Conspiracy
Author: Glenn Meade
The Romanov Conspiracy by author, Glenn Meade is my favorite read this summer by far. It is an epic novel that expertly combines world history, espionage, forensic archeology and even love in a solid story that really captured my imagination. I have been fascinated by the factual story of the Romanov family since I wrote my college thesis on the topic. Therefore I was very interested in reading The Romanov Conspiracy…..I was not disappointed!
The Romanov Conspiracy (SRP $25) is drawn from real life facts about the Romanovs and the time period of 1918 Ekaterinburg (the site of their execution). It features Dr. Laura Pavlov who is an American forensic archeologist. While digging in present-day Russia, a team of archeologists discovers two bodies that have been preserved by the permafrost. While this new discovery shed light on the mystery of the famous Romanov daughter, Princess Anastasia and possibly change the course of world history?
I loved the way that the author was able to weave historical facts into a fictional novel creating a satisfying thriller. The characters were fully developed and very realistic. The storyline is a fun ride through a maze of stories that takes the reader from present to the past……I simply did not want the novel to end.
This book will be appealing to readers across many genres and I highly recommend putting it on your reading list. I look forward to reading other titles from this very talented International bestselling author.
