The Dog Dicer Review

The palate of a two year old isn’t very discerning. My son would eat hot dogs and chicken fingers all day everyday, so long as he had ketchup to dip it in. When CJ was smaller, I read somewhere a crazy scary statistic about how many children choke on hot dogs a year. I was horrified. So any time that CJ wanted a hot dog (which is pretty much 5 times a week) I would have to cut it into eency weency little pieces and watch him like a hawk while he ate. It was a pain in the butt.

Then I heard about this little contraption called the Dog Dicer. Like it sounds, the Dog Dicer cuts your hot dog into the tiny little pieces on its own. You put your hotdog in, and it slices it down the middle and across the hot dog. The pieces are super super small. You can also use it for grapes, which is what we use it for those all the time. It is pretty ingenious and I will always wonder why I didn’t think of it first.

When we first tried the Dog Dicer, I had a little trouble with the hot dogs we used. They were the really thick all-beef franks. I have since had no problem with turkey dogs, veggie dogs, or smaller hot dogs. It cuts through grapes and other small pieces of fruit with no problem. This product is definitely CJ approved as you can tell from the image below. The Dog Dicer is available at and retails for $12.99. Currently, if you buy one, you can get a second one free.
