Finding Nemo 3D, Secret of the Wings, and Cinderella Blogger Trip #DisneyInHomeBloggers
I am once again very honored to be representing Simply Stacie on a Disney blogger trip to Los Angeles from Wednesday, August 22nd through Saturday, August 25th. I have been a lifelong fan of all things Disney, so I love these opportunities to get even closer to movies that I love, experience new things, make new friendships, and of course share with all of you the details along the way.
All 3 of the movies that we will be involved with for this trip are extremely close to my family’s heart. Those three movies are:
Finding Nemo is a much loved film of my daughter’s, and it is returning to theatres on September 14th, 2012 as Finding Nemo 3D. This delightful family film has taught me a few things about parenting, like learning when it’s time to let my daughter make her own decisions. My daughter may not identify with some of the deeper lessons of the film, but for now I enjoy watching her recognize the aquarium fish at places like doctor’s offices and restaurants and calling each of the fish by the names of the Finding Nemo characters.
Cinderella was one of my personal favorites as a child; I remember watching it over and over on VHS and I am thrilled that this timeless classic is coming to Blu-ray as part of the Diamond Collection on October 2nd, 2012. Cinderella is one of the films that our daughter asks to watch repeatedly too–with her Cinderella doll right by her side. True Cinderella fans will absolutely adore the 6-disc Jewelry Box set, which will come with the original film as well as its two sequels.
But I’m perhaps most excited for Secret of the Wings, which arrives on Disney Blu-ray DVD on October 23rd, 2012. I fell in love with Tinker Bell in Disney’s 1953 Peter Pan, and I love all of the ways that Disney has given her such a larger role in their kingdom. Out of any Disney character that might exist on an item of clothing that I own, Tinker Bell has appeared the most. I think she’s adorable, but I also love her feisty personality, and even dressed as her for Halloween several years in a row (while in my 20’s!). I’m especially excited for Secret of the Wings since some of my TV favorites lend their voices to the cast: Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars), Anjelica Huston (Smash), Megan Hilty (Smash) and Mae Whitman (Parenthood).
To keep up with all of the attendees in real time, you’ll want to follow this hash tag on Twitter: #DisneyInHomeBloggers. We will also be keeping you updated through Stacie’s Twitter account as well as the Facebook fan page. Following the trip, look for our interviews and more about the trip!
