During the summer months, my allergies are at their absolute worst. My lips suffer the most for it because I breathe through my mouth while sleeping. When I wake up, my lips are dry and cracked, so I always have to have some sort of lip ointment on hand to treat them.
My new favorite lip product is from Clark’s Botanicals, a company established in 2005 that offers a wide variety of natural skin care products developed by Dr. Harold Clark, who has knowledge of both Western medicine and homeopathy. The main ingredient in all Clark’s Botanicals products is something called Jasmine Absolute; this is an oil that helps to rebalance the skin. You can read the full story of Clark’s Botanicals.
The Ultra Rich Lip Balm from Clark’s Botanicals has given me exactly the relief I have needed for my dry and sometimes sore lips. If the cracking is especially bad, even the barest hint of a smile will cause me some pain. The ingredients in the Ultra Rich Lip Balm include shea butter, aloe leaf extra, and sweet almond oil. There is a very pleasant slightly sweet taste to the lip balm, and the formula is extremely smooth and not sticky. I can go for quite a long time before reapplying, and because of how well it works, I often only use it at most two or three times a day. It’s the first thing I have reached for in the mornings when I wake up, and it is the last thing I apply before turning in for the night.
Once the Ultra Rich Lip Balm fades away, the once dry bits of dead, flaky skin become soft enough that I can gently exfoliate with a lip scrub and they come off instantly. Now that I have been using the Ultra Rich Lip Balm on an every day basis, I find that I do not have to use my lip scrub quit as often. I definitely recommend this lip balm to anyone who suffers from dry lips. You will definitely see results, and you’ll love how the light and smooth formula. I also love layering it on over a lipstick to give it a bit of shine.
