Week 46 on Nutrisystem #NSNation

After getting to my all time lowest weight on Nutrisystem, I started to get too comfortable with where I was at and allowed myself too much freedom with what I ate while away for a family member’s wedding and then the following weekend while on a trip for Simply Stacie. For the wedding trip, I brought my own breakfasts and the lunch bars, and was trusted myself to make good decisions for dinner. Unfortunately, one meal was at Carl’s Jr. (which I never go to because of the high calorie food options) and the other was at a Chuck-a-Rama.

The following weekend, I flew to San Jose and did not take any of my meals with me because I wanted to try the local cuisine. I knew I would have some work to do once I returned home, and I was right.

Upon returning home, I winced at the number I saw on the scale: 139 lbs. Based on past experience, I knew that I could expect 2-3 of those pounds to disappear immediately once I got back on track. Luckily, my measurements all remained about the same.

If there is one piece of advice I have for anyone who is starting out on any type of program (especially Nutrisystem), it would be the following:

  1. Take whichever breakfast and lunch options you can with you on your trip.
  2. Since you can use a lot of dried fruit and other things for add-ins, measure them out and put them in baggies to pack in your suitcase.
  3. Get yourself one of the fold-up water bottle bags if you are flying on a plane. Once you get through TSA you can fill it up with water, and this will also help you not to be tempted to order a soda or other high-calorie beverage on the plane.
  4. If you are going out to eat, look at the menu of where you are going beforehand and select what you are ordering before you go. Stick to it, and don’t let yourself get talked out of your sensible decision. If where you are going only has unhealthy options, ask them how they can accommodate you, or order a plain salad. Sometimes it is better to eat one of your Nutrisystem meals before you go out so you will be full and won’t feel as if you are missing out. You can order a side salad and still participate in the eating out experience.

  • Waist: 30 inches
  • Hips: 38 inches
