Scholastic Storybook Treasures® My First Collection Vol. 3 DVD Set Review

Watching Scholastic Storybook Treasures® stories are a favorite form of entertainment for all three of my children who are ages 4, 5 and 7. This award-winning DVD series of stories is so unique because it brings many favorite children’s books to life on the screen.

My preschool and kindergarten aged children were excited recently to watch the latest release from Scholastic Storybook Treasures® in the “My First” Collection, Vol. 3. Showcasing a beloved classic, Chicken Little and 12 additional stories this 3-DVD set is a wonderful addition to home DVD library. I home school my children so they watch one story per day and then we discuss it together. They were thrilled to discover some of their favorite books featured including “Scaredy Squirrel”, “Dot the Fire Dog” and “The Three-Legged Cat” along with many of entertaining stories in this collection.

There are over 150 minutes of award winning stories which are so special because they are entertaining and educational. Each DVD focuses on specific areas of child development and My First Collection Vol. 3 highlights “feelings, humor and confidence.” The animation and content is whimsical and funny and my children are consistently engaged when watching these stories. In fact, they immediately request to watch a title at the start of our school day and are disappointed if I didn’t have a story planned for that morning.

You are invited to visit the Scholastic Storybook Treasures® website to purchase My First Collection Vol. 3 (3-DVD set for ages 2-6) for only $24.95 or browse the entire selection to find you favorite stories on DVD. I just discovered free printable resources on the website that I can use along with this title….thank you Scholastic Storybook Treasures®!
