I don’t know about you, but I HATE cleaning bathrooms. I have a master bath, a hall guest bath and a bath upstairs for the boys that all require at least a weekly cleaning. I have an arsenal of cleaners that I use that are what I call “good enough”, but I’m always happy to discover new tools that can help get me through my most hated task. Now I have a new set of tools from Rubbermaid to help me out.
I received three new bathroom cleaning tools along with a set of switchable pads from Rubbermaid for review. Each item was sturdy and all seem quite durable – exactly what I would expect from the Rubbermaid brand. The items I received were:
Extendable Scrubber – extendable from 24” to 40”, this scrubber is perfect for reaching behind toilets or high up on your shower walls. This worked great on our shower stall, which is an acrylic material that seems to hold on to grime. I liked that I was able to complete the whole task with this one tool – really cut down on the bending and stretching. MSRP $14.99.
2-in-1 Scrubber – my favorite part of this tool is the detachable detail brush which worked great reaching in between my sliding glass shower doors (a space that has been almost impossible to reach!). I had been using an old toothbrush to try to get in between my shower doors, but this tool is sturdy and made to do the dirty work, so I was able to get great results. MSRP $8.99
Flexible Scrub Brush – what makes this tool great is the option to set it to flex or lock flat. Great for hard to reach curvy surfaces. The rubber flexible head is really thick and sturdy, so you don’t have to be gentle with this brush! MSRP $8.99
Switchable Pads – these pads work with all of the tools mentioned above, with the exception of the flexible scrub brush. There is a pad for every need – a sponge pad, a bristle brush pad, and disposable pads for those clean-and-toss tasks. Ranging from an MSRP of $3.99 to $4.99, these are great accessories to have on hand.
I was impressed with these tools. They are lightweight, reliable pieces that I am glad to have on hand. I find them easy to use, easy to store, and versatile enough for all the different cleaning chores in every bathroom in my house. These tools, and the pads, can be bought directly from the Rubbermaid site, at The Home Depot, Meijer, Target and Wal-Mart stores.
One lucky reader will win all the tools in this review!
