Blue Lizard® Australian Sunscreen Review
Living in Florida and experiencing skin cancer in my family has made me passionate about protecting my children’s skin from the damaging effects of the sun. As I write this post, my father is battling an uphill recurrence of stage 4 skin cancer while I am having a second suspicious area removed from my shoulder. I apply sunscreen to my children (and myself) every day that we are spending any time outdoors.
Blue Lizard® Australian Sunscreen is dermatologist recommended and provides UVA/UVB protection. I was immediately drawn to this product line when I learned that it is effective but remains paraben free, chemical free and fragrance free. It uses zinc oxide and titanium oxide as the primary ingredients. I really appreciate that there are formulas for everyone in your family including babies and those who have sensitive skin. The Smart Bottles™ even turn blue in UV light.
The Blue Lizard® Australian Sunscreen “Baby” has SPF 30+. A little goes a long way and it applies well to tender skin. I value that Blue Lizard® tests according to rigorous standards which I learned is more stringent than FDA standards so I feel confident that it is a high quality sunscreen that is perfect for baby’s skin.
My five year old daughter has very sensitive skin so I used the “Sensitive” sunscreen with SPF 30+ on her face, hands and feet which are her most easily irritated areas of her body. She did not have any negative reaction and in fact it even seemed to offer a bit of moisture to her skin.
I really like the Daily Moisturizer Face SPF 30+ ($11.99 3 ounce tube) which I have been using on a daily basis. I really like that it is not greasy at all because it is oil-free. It is enriched with antioxidants and I plan to use this product every day as part of my skin care regime.
You are invited to visit the Blue Lizard® website to learn more about this effective, high quality sun protection line of sunscreens. I plan to stock up on our favorites for the summer months so that we can enjoy spending time outdoors and I have the peace of mind to know that my children are protected.
