Ashley Judd (“Where The Heart Is”), Sean Bean (“Game of Thrones”), Cliff Curtis (“Whale Rider”), Adriano Giannini (“Ocean’s Twelve”), Nick Eversman (“The Runaways”), Tereza Voriskova (“Borgia”), Aunjanue Ellis (“The Help”), Laura Donnelly (“Merlin”) and Keith Carradine (“Cowboys & Aliens”).
I watched the entire first season of Missing in a matter of two nights! Normally I fall asleep watching TV, but not with Missing. In fact, I was wide awake at 3 am watching it! It’s action-packed and full of suspense and each episode ends on a cliffhanger so I had to see what would happen next. It’s definitely one of those shows that had me hooked from the very first episode.
The storyline is fast paced and each episode builds upon the previous one. The characters are complex and have secrets so while you think you know what is happening, your perception can change in an instant. There were a few twists that had me thinking, “No way” and that I did NOT see coming.
My favourite character was of course, Becca Winstone (Ashley Judd). She’s an amazing actress and was made for the role of this mother/ex-CIA agent. Her pain of losing her son was palpable as well as her determination to find him at any cost. She will do anything to get her son back!
The setting of this series takes place almost entirely in Europe and parts of Asia. I LOVED seeing all the different cities and it was like going on an adventure of my own as I watched the show. From Italy, France, Russia, Czech Republic, Turkey and more, the viewer is introduced to a variety of exotic locations. It made me want to travel and see them for myself!!
There’s 10 episodes in the first season and from the way the last one ended, there will be a second season. I can’t wait to see how the story continues. I’ve been telling my friends and family that they need to watch this show!
