Lonesome George Review
I dress for comfort. That doesn’t mean I don’t like quality clothes though. I like to look good, but I need to be able to run after my two boys, run errands, and run my home at the same time, so comfort is key. When the opportunity to review a piece of clothing from Lonesome George & Co. I knew their clothing was a perfect fit for me – in style and comfort.
While exploring the Lonesome George website, I learned a lot about the great work the company is doing to ensure that future generations make better choices in our interdependent world. Inspired by Ecuador’s famous conservation icon “Lonesome George”, their triple-bottom-line business model ensures that 10% of every purchase directly funds youth educational programs that teach and empower future generations. They are also constantly looking for new ways to help today’s youth and our planet. Their latest venture is recycling t-shirts. You can return any Lonesome George t-shirt to them (if you’ve outgrown it, or you’re simply tired of it) and they will recycle the shirt for its raw materials to create new designs – and they’ll give you 12% off your next purchase for participating!
I received an Around The World t-shirt for review from Lonesome George. It arrived in a canvas shopping bag perfect for re-use (no wasteful packaging!). It’s a short-sleeved V-neck tee made from 100% certified organic Peruvian cotton. It is unbelievably soft. You can see and feel the quality in the stitching alone. I like that it’s a little longer than most tees – hitting just below the hips. It’s soft, comfortable, unique and looks great – a home run in my book! The Around The World tee retails for $47.
