hellomellow Review

Over the past few years, I have grown more conscious of what kind of beauty products I use for my hair and my skin. I seek out hair products that are paraben-free and sulfate-free, and I look for skin products that are made from all natural ingredients and contain no chemicals or other harmful ingredients. Your skin and hair absorb what you put on your body, so it’s important to make sure that you are only using safe products.

For over 10 years, Tracey Feldstein has been mixing her own oils, body butters, and more to share with friends, family, and her massage therapy clients. Her products contain no fillers, and are only made of natural ingredients that I look for when considering a new product to try. Tracey’s products are now available on hellomellow, and I had the opportunity to give them a try.

I received a cute mesh bag that contained a lip butter, body oil, body butter, and body scrub. Since I constantly have dry skin because of Utah’s climate, these were exactly the right products for me to test out.

Unwind Lip Butter (.125 oz.)

I have a pretty large collection of lip glosses, lip sticks, and balms, but ever since my hellomellow products arrived I have been addicted to the silky smooth lips I get from using hellomellow lip butter. I can actually pronounce all of the ingredients (which are disclosed on the lip butter tube) and I know what each ingredient is, which is a rarity with most bath and beauty products that live in my bathroom. After just a few applications, the pieces of dry skin on my lips became incredibly soft and fell away, leaving me with softer and healthier looking lips. Unwind has a slightly spicy scent; it’s a combination of cedarwood and vanilla, and I love it. I also love the shape of the container; instead of a circle, it’s a long oval and easier to store in jeans pockets or a small purse.

Balance Body Butter

I love the body butter for moisturizing from head to toe. My legs are always the worst after a shave, and body butter can be quite soothing. I always feel little bumps rising up from the irritation of the razor, but the body butter makes them less visible and noticeable to the touch. The Balance scent reminds me of a nice, warm cup of tea that I would drink to relax. It’s no surprise I’m reminded of tea, because two of the ingredients that stood out to me with this particular scent are chamomile and orange.

Relax Body Oil

On particularly dry days or just when I need a little extra pampering, I massage the body oil into my skin. It’s very relaxing and calming, and my skin has a lovely shine to it. I like this look for special occasions when I’ll be wearing a dress or skirt with bare legs. If I am really up for pampering and choose a bath as a way to unwind, I love adding body oil to my bath and then following up with the body butter.

Revitalize Body Scrub

I have quite a few body scrubs that I rotate between in my shower, but the hellomellow really stood out to me. It has the same consistency, unlike some of the other ones I have been using. It also doesn’t leave shine or slime on my skin; I feel soft and moisturized without feeling like I have a thick coating of something on my skin. I love the subtle lavender in the Revitalize scent.

If you purchase any of the items from the Balance collection, 5% of your purchase will be donated to Boarding 4 Breast Cancer, a foundation that provides retreats for breast cancer survivors with an emphasis on healing and surviving long term.
