Did you know that May is National Bike Month? Biking together has been a favorite pastime for our family and our children have been riding their bikes on and off-road along with us since they were able to pedal their own bikes. In fact, our four year old son was ready to have his training wheels taken off recently so bike safety is now more important than ever. One of the strict rules in our family is that the kids (ages 4, 5 and 7) do not ever ride their bikes without first putting on their helmet. Since this is non-negotiable, they will wear their helmets but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t occasional groaning when they are reminded to put on their helmet.
Fohawx were ingeniously designed to help put an end to kids resisting to wear their helmets with some of the coolest helmet accessories. From faux dreadlocks, high-top Mohawks and punk designs…….Fohawx has really hit the mark with keeping kids safer because they will actually want to wear their helmet with their Fohawx attached.
There are five hip styles to choose from and kids can change out their accessories or even swap with friends. How does the Fohawx work? The Fohawx will attach to the top of the child’s helmet. I simply added the sticky strip of adhesive to the helmet and then attached the Fohawx velcro to the adhesive and “voila” it is ready to wear.
All three of my kids declared the Fohawx to be “really awesome” and my seven year old couldn’t wait to test out the “Wavz”. The verdict………………..he loves it! He wore this riding his bike on the sidewalk and on the off road trails during a two hour family bike trip. I like that the Fohawx stayed securely attached to his helmet at all times and he loved getting lots of compliments from other kids about his “cool” helmet.
Fohawx are affordably priced at $19.99 and can be purchased by visiting Fohawx. Which style would your kid flip over?
