What’s On My iPhone?

My parents bought me an iPhone for my birthday a few weeks ago. I figured it was time I joined 2012 and got myself a cell phone. I’d gone almost three years without one! After my separation from my ex, I didn’t have much money so I downsized and unfortunately that meant no cell phone for me. I wanted one this year since I’ll be traveling and I just feel safer having one when I’m driving.

I cannot get over how much technology has changed just in three short years! My new phone is NOTHING like my old phone. On my old phone all I could do was talk and text. With my new iPhone, I can do that and so much more!! I’ve added some apps and am having fun with my new phone.

So what’s on my iPhone? Here’s what I added:

Instagram: Free photosharing app that lets you add different filters to your photos.  Snap a picture, add a filter and caption and then share it on Facebook (or Twitter, Foursquare, etc). This app is so much fun!!  I love browsing through my friends pics and see a glimpse of their lives. Add me on Instagram as simplystacieblog.

Facebook: Stay connected to Facebook with your iPhone! I normally follow along convos in my Facebook groups and browse my news feed for anything interesting.

Twitter: Tweet with your phone! I imagine this will come in handy while I’m traveling.

Pinterest: Browse Pinterest with your phone and repin as well as pin with your camera. I haven’t really had a chance to play around with this one much yet.

Foursquare: This one is actually fun (and addicting!). I check in to places I visit in my area and earn points and badges. I’m the mayor of three locations in my town. One of them is Tim Hortons (big surprise there!). Add me on Foursquare.

Alien Blue- Reddit Client: App to browse Reddit. I downloaded this one but never used it because I forgot my password on Reddit!! Once I figure it out, I’ll play with this one.

Skype: I don’t have a Skype account yet, but it’s on my to-do list.

MyTunes Pro: An audio enhancing music player app, which also has tons of great features like DJ style transitions, workout mode, party mode, and more. I’ll be doing a review on this app in the coming weeks so I’ll let you know more about it then.

Awesome Calendar: This is the app I use the most. It helps me stay organized with the calendar so I always know what’s due and where I need to be and when. I love the To-Do list and am adding/checking off items throughout the day. They also have a free version. Highly recommended.

GasBuddy: Find the cheapest gas in your area. When we drive by a gas station, I will make note of the price and input into the app. You earn points towards a draw for free gas when you update.

TimmyMe: The official app of Tim Hortons. I imagine the Find a Tim Hortons feature will come in handy when John and I are travelling. We both love our Timmies.

New York: The Best of New York (Baffled by Travel, Inc): An app to help you explore NYC! It helps you find attractions, restaurants, hotels, etc. I’ll be using this one on Friday when I go to NYC for the #TheAvengersEvent

I’ve only had my iPhone for a few weeks so I know I’ll be adding more apps. Which ones are your favourite?
