I was really not looking forward to my weigh-in this week. I had an incredible 3 days this week that I spent in San Francisco, but this meant that I also couldn’t follow my Nutrisystem plan as closely as I needed to. I packed some granola bars and some lunch bars in my travel bags so that I would at least be able to eat those as part of my meals.
I am such a sucker for room service (which I’d never experienced before until last June) that I wanted to take full advantage of everything that was provided for on this trip. I knew it would set me back, and that I would have a lot to make up for when I returned home and focused on my meals again.
I managed to eat a few diet smart things while on the trip: salmon, chicken, and fruit. There were a few things I couldn’t pass up, though, such as an alcoholic milkshake (we have nothing like that here in Utah that I am aware of!) and a mouth-watering burger at The Burger Bar.
I also relied a bit too much on caffeinated beverages (mostly soda), which I have been avoiding, to keep me awake through important events that I was attending. Luckily, my hotel bed was very comfy and I did get a fair amount of sleep, so I was a bit more relaxed in soda consumption this time around.
So here’s the damage…139.7 lbs. OUCH. I am hoping that I will see this come down and that most of it will not permanently stay. I’ve seen a few weight gains due to too much sodium and then back down to the weight I’d been the previously week, minus a little, so I have my fingers crossed that at the very least I’ll be back to 137 lbs. or 138 lbs. by next week.
I’ve been avoiding as many things non-Nutrisystem approved as possible and I have also been going on seriously long walks while pushing a loaded up stroller so that I can take in the sunshine, sweat, and burn some calories.
