Every Easter my husband and I (and now my kids) look forward to a feast at my mother’s house. She always puts out a traditional spread of foods – including a ham, potatoes, some veggies, and of course yummy deserts. The people at Schwan’s Home Delivery have re-created this traditional Easter meal – bringing all the taste and comfort of a homemade meal right to your doorstep.
We received an Easter feast from Schwan’s – including a sliced ham, Au Gratin potatoes, green peas, a triple berry pie, and vanilla ice cream. The ham was pre-cooked, pre-sliced (great for making sandwiches with the leftovers!) and boneless. It was smoked to perfection and the perfect main course for our meal. This tasty 4.25lb ham is only $26.87. The Au Gratin potatoes were rich and creamy, a great side dish for the ham. A 2.5lb tray which serves 12 is $11.29. I think green peas are an essential to every great holiday meal – and a 2.5lb resealable bag is a bargain at $4.99. And no holiday meal would be complete without desert! The triple berry pie is loaded with apples, blueberries, blackberries, and rhubarb. It’s great fresh out of the oven with a little drizzle of the included vanilla sauce. Every bite we took was exploding with flavor. At $10.92, one pie will serve up to 12 people. My oldest son’s favorite part of the meal was the vanilla ice cream. So simple, yet so flavorful, the ice cream was a great way to top off a great meal.
