GeoPalz Pedometer Review
Are you looking for a fun, creative way to encourage your child to walk or get more physically active? If so, the GeoPalz® pedometer (SRP $25) is the perfect idea. In fact, kids ages 5+ can log their steps on the digital pedometer and with every step they take, kids can turn these into points that can be exchanged online for neat prizes. GeoPalz® uses 3D Tri-Axis Accelerometers for 98% accuracy and it can assess “moderate to vigorous physical activity” (MVPA) helping your child gauge how many steps they take in a day.
All three of my children are very active and my six year old son was eager to step up and test the GeoPalz® pedometer. It took very little time for me to get the unit set up and calibrated and then Adam was ready to start moving. In the morning he attaches it to the clothing at his hip (it can also be attached to a shoe). I noticed an extra spring in his step when he wears it and I love to see him running and walking. The digital screen is easy for him to read and track. He beams with a sense of pride when he shows me how many steps he has taken every day.
There are so many fun designs available at GeoPalz® including our favorite the “JuJu Bug”, “Kit”, “Jack”, “Peace Flower”, “Soccer Ball” and more. The website is easy to navigate and it is simple to enter the data from the pedometer to the computer. Adam loves to see how much he has progressed and how many steps that he has taken since he started wearing his GeoPalz®.
For kids who love a challenge or need a little fun motivation, the GeoPalz® pedometer is a fantastic idea that is very affordably priced at only $25.
