Disneynature CHIMPANZEE Educator’s Guide Free Download

The Disneynature film, Chimpanzee, opens in theatres everywhere April 20th, 2012. I was lucky to see an advance screening of Chimpanzee while in San Francisco the first week in April, and I can say with great confidence that this is a film that your entire family can see and enjoy together. Additionally, Disneynature will make a donation to the Jane Goodall Institute from ticket sales between April 20th and April 26th to protect chimpanzees and their natural habitats. You can learn more about that here.

In celebration of this latest Disneynature film, there is an Educator’s Guide that Disney has put together for grades 2-6. It’s also perfect for parents who continue education outside of the classroom in their own homes. The Educator’s Guide also meets the National Science Education Standards.

Here are just a few things that your students and children will learn about from the Educator’s Guide:

  • How we can protect chimpanzees
  • The habitats and ecosystems of chimpanzees
  • Animal Behavior, Communication, and Use of Tools

There are 23 lessons total in this guide, as well as information on additional resources and a final project for your students or children.
