Wallace & Gromit’s World of Invention Blu-Ray & DVD Review

Title: Wallace & Gromit: World of Invention

Wallace & Gromit is one of those rare animated television shows that are enjoyable for both children and adults. This smart six-part series, Wallace & Gromit’s World of Invention which has just been released on Blu-Ray and DVD features British inventor and his canine pal, Gromit.

Wallace & Gromit’s World of Invention is a wonderful show that is entertaining for the entire family. Even my husband looks forward to our Family Movie Night when it features episodes of Wallace & Gromit and particularly from this latest DVD. In this exciting six part series, Wallace and Gromit presenters “from the basement of 62 West Wallaby street”. They introduce viewers to real-life people who are inventors and have created gadgets that can help around the house and even around the globe. My kids loved the episode, “Come to Your Senses” which features invisibility cloaks, bomb-detecting bees (neat!) and the top sensory inventions. We thoroughly enjoyed “Nature Knows Best”, “Reach for the Sky”, “Better Safe than Sorry”, “Getting from A to B” and “Home Sweet Home”.

There is over 170 minutes packed into this adventure and there is a special feature where you can build six contraptions including the Upside-Down-O-Scope, Wind-powered Sprinkler, Atmos’ Railway, Fin Ray Grabber, Spy Camera and an Air Rocket. My six year old son and my husband were inspired to build the Air Rocket and I love watching them spend time together on a fun new hobby.

Wallace & Gromit’s World of Invention is available for purchase at retailers and online.
