Simply Stacie Goes to San Francisco | Brave and Chimpanzee #DisneyPixarEvent
I am once again incredibly honored to represent Simply Stacie on a Disney and Pixar hosted event this April 3rd through 5th in San Francisco, California. As a big Pixar fan, this is truly a dream come true! Not only do we get to see the latest Pixar film, Brave, very early, but we also will be treated to a tour of Pixar where all the magic happens. My entire household has spent many hours repeatedly watching every Pixar movie that has been released; our favorites include The Incredibles (my husband’s favorite), Cars (my daughter’s favorite), and Monsters, Inc. (my personal favorite). All Pixar films contain memorable characters, strong story lines, and breathtaking animation. We have incredibly high hopes for Brave and are counting down the days for it to be released in theaters so we can take our daughter to see it. I know that Pixar will not disappoint! Have you seen the trailer yet? It sends shivers of excitement up and down my spine every time I see it.
In addition to a screening of Brave, we will also be getting to see the Disneynature film Chimpanzee. I have to confess that I still have not seen a Disneynature film, so I am really looking forward to this one. I’ve been hearing about this film since June 2011, and even watching the trailer makes me cry. I will definitely be needing plenty of tissue and waterproof mascara to see me all the way through what looks to be an incredible journey for one brave chimpanzee and his family.
And as if seeing these films (and also viewing the Academy Award nominated La Luna) isn’t amazing enough, we will also be going on a tour of the Walt Disney Family Museum. If you remember any of the earliest posts that I wrote back in June, then you might recall that my dad was raised in Orange County and actually met Walt Disney a couple times as a young boy. I grew up hearing these stories, and I have no doubt that they contributed to my passion for Walt Disney and his incredible legacy. I think it will be a remarkable experience to learn more about Walt Disney’s early life, as well as the genesis of the magical world he created.
I am thrilled to be able to share more details on this incredible opportunity with you over the coming weeks. Please stay tuned for more information (clips, images, and more!) as we draw closer to that first week in April. I’ll have some amazing interviews, photos, and reviews to share with you once I’m home.
