Welcome to Simply Stacie’s Saturday Featured Blog! If you would like your blog featured, please fill out this form.
Today I would like to welcome Michelle from Book Briefs! I had a chance to learn more about herblog and here’s what she had to say…
Please tell me about yourself.
I’m 24 and a 2nd year law student. I live in Florida and I have 2 of the best dogs ever. When Im not in class, reading for class, or reading for fun, I like to hang out with my family and friends. I also watch way too much tv and movies.
Please tell me about your blog.
My blog is called Book Briefs. In school I have to write out case briefs for all the cases that I read. Book Briefs are what I call my reviews of the YA and adult books that I read.
It is mainly a YA blog but I also feature adult books, author interviews, guest posts and lots of giveaways!
How did you get started?
I found some book review vlogs on youtube and it led me to book review blogs. I became obsessed with them for a good 4-5 months before I finally talked myself into starting my own blog.
Who does your blog appeal to?
I think my blog appeals to anyone who likes to read or enjoyed bookish-news. I have reviews, giveaways, author posts, and cover reveals/other news.
What direction do you see your blog going in the future?
I have been participating in a lot more blog tours recently, so I see my blog taking place in more challenges, more giveaways and more blog tour posts.
What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far with your blog?
Balancing reading/blogging/commenting with law school and all the reading and studying that comes along with that. School takes up a lot of my time and so does blogging. Google calendars and I have become the best of friends!
What do you love about blogging?
I love getting feedback from other people. The book blogging community is amazing. Everyone has been really supportive and nice. I want to continue building up the nice spirit that I have come to know through the blogging world.
Do you have a blogging pet peeve?
I really don’t like word verification on comments. And I also don’t like it when people don’t read the rules on your giveaways/or read things like your review policy before asking you to review their book.
Tell me some of your favourite blogs that you read.
Wow, there are so many great ones. I love http://www.lettersinsideout.net/, http://www.sithereandread.com/, http://www.theawesomemagicattic.blogspot.com/, http://loveofbooks409.blogspot.com/, http://xpressoreads.blogspot.com/, and http://www.iceybooks.com/ to just name a few.
How can people find you?
