Are you frustrated with the changes that your body went through after you gave birth? Do you still have baby weight to lose–even though your “baby” is now a toddler? Are you too busy to research the “right way” to eat and to exercise? If your answer to all the above questions is yes, then what you really need is Dustin Maher and Fit Moms for Life.
Dustin Maher is quite an accomplished 28-year-old. He is a fitness instructor, motivational speaker, personal trainer, and teacher. Dustin was inspired to work with moms to help them get fit because his own mom was so loving and attentive to her children, and often neglected caring for herself. Even so, Dustin learned about making healthy nutritional choices from his mom. What started out as a class called MamaTone Fitness has now evolved into something so much more: 28 Fitness DVDs AND even a book! (Click here to read my review.)
I hate, hate, hate exercising. I hate it! I’d be lying if I said that Dustin Maher’s Fit Moms for Life DVD #1 made me love it, but it sure does make understanding nutrition and how to exercise as simple as possible.
Here is how Dustin Maher’s program works. You can sign up on his website and pay $39/month. Each month you’ll receive a new DVD that contains a 60-minute workout that includes strength training, toning abs, fat burning, and warm-ups and cool-downs. Cooking and nutrition segments are also included. Each DVD features a mom that Dustin has personally worked with on fitness and nutrition.
I was sent Workout 1 of 12 to try, and Jody is the mom who is featured in this DVD. By setting small goals for herself, Jody was able to lose 30 lbs. after attending the MamaTone Fitness classes for 4 months. I never feel like I am working out alone with Dustin because Jody is working out right along with me every time I use the DVD. I confess…the first time that I tried this workout, I couldn’t make it all the way through. Now after a few more times, I’m able to get all the way through. I don’t feel tired, but I do feel satisfied and accomplished.
This is a workout that I can stick to because of how effectively it blends all the different things that I need to do. I love that Dustin’s routines are not heavily cardio-based since I absolutely loathe cardio and it leaves me too tired to want to continue. Dustin’s cardio is done in small bursts rather than lengthy periods of time.
But perhaps my most favorite thing about this workout is that everything Dustin asks me to do is exercises that I’m already familiar with from working with personal trainers in the past. There are no fancy dance steps or hip-hop moves. Everything is simple and easy for even the most uncoordinated (me!!!) person.
Quit saying that you don’t have the time to learn how to eat right and get back in shape. This program is so simple and easy to use, and once you try it and hear everything Dustin has to say about fitness and nutrition, you’ll wonder why you ever thought it was so difficult to do.
