We’ve probably all seen portraits done in the “Andy Warhol style” – bright colors, multiple panels, very eye-catching. I never thought about applying that effect to any of my photos until I came across the opportunity to do a review for AllPopArt.
AllPopArt is a great source for personalized photo gifts – there’s so much to choose from, so you’re bound to find a style for every taste. The great thing about pieces from AllPopArt is that they are unique photo gifts – certainly nothing “cookie cutter” about their designs and styles. Besides their Warhol Style products, they also have a pretty neat Superheroes collection, as well as a Comic Art and Pet-glo treatments.
The photo I chose for my Warhol Style portrait is a photo with an image I hold in my heart – the first picture of my two boys together. We took the picture last Easter, when Noah was only a few days old, and it’s a personal favorite of me, my husband and my extended family. The order process at AllPopArt.com was very easy. Once I created an account, I chose the style of portrait I wanted (in this case, the 4 panel Warhol piece) and added it to my cart. I then uploaded my photo to be used in the project and was able to add in my comments about color preferences for the piece. A few days later I received an email with two digital proofs – from there I had the choice to choose one for the finished look, choose one and add a few tweaks, or choose neither and have another round of proofs sent. One of the proofs I was sent was spot-on from my recommendations and I choose that one to be completed.
When my piece arrived, and I opened the shipping box, I was instantly insanely happy. The finished product is more than just a canvas photo – it really is a work of art. The quality of the canvas and the design work is impeccable. The colors are deep and rich. It makes a simple photo so much more – it makes the image come alive. It’s a beautiful piece that will for sure be a conversation piece in my home for years to come!
