Sam’s Club Apps in a Snap Challenge

I am now a happy, card-carrying member of Sam’s Club! Anytime that I have ever gone into a Sam’s Club, it’s always been with my dad, and I’ve never really gotten a chance to wander around this superstore on my own. I was thrilled to work with Sam’s Club for their Apps in a Snap Challenge. Armed with a $50 gift card and a shiny new membership card, my friend Sara and I set out to pick out some delicious appetizers for a game night that we planned with friends.

On our way toward the back for the freezer and deli section, we were easily side tracked by all the other offerings of Sam’s Club. In addition to home necessities like paper towels and toilet paper or bulk food items, Sam’s Club also has an attractive selection of books, movies, TV box sets, and more. We only had a limited amount of time in which to shop, but all of our needs were met satisfactorily: I acquired the appetizers we needed to feed all of our friends, and Sara found a few books to add to her personal library.

We stuck with frozen appetizers because we didn’t know how many people we were expecting. I sent out an invitation via Facebook, and only had 3 people RSVP. Of those 3, only 1 actually showed up, but I knew that Sara was coming and that my other friend, Dawn, was coming, even though they didn’t indicate that on Facebook.

We had so many different types of foods to choose from, and it became challenging for us to narrow it down to just a few selections. Here’s what I brought home with me:

Daily Chef Mini Crab Cakes: For $9.98, I bought 30 mini crab cakes. They are bite-sized and take up to 12 minutes to bake. They can also be sauteed or deep fried, depending on your preference. They are made from real crab meat, and made my kitchen smell like a seafood restaurant. Even when still frozen, they have a very strong smell. I love seafood, so this was an obvious choice for me.

Nancy’s Petite Quiche: This box contains 60 petite quiche in two different flavors: Broccoli & Cheddar and Swiss Cheese & Bacon. The crust is buttery and flaky, and the flavors are rich and strong. When eaten just minutes after coming out of the oven, they are incredible! This box was $9.98.

Nancy’s Deli Spirals: For only $10.98, I bought 60 bite-size sandwich rolls in several flavors: Tomato Provolone, Turkey Pepperjack, and Turkey Bacon Ranch. It’s hard to choose a favorite from these three, but if I had to, it would have to be the Turkey Pepperjack. These are incredibly easy to serve; just thaw them and lay them out on a plate for your guests to enjoy.

Daily Chef Shrimp Wrapped in Bacon with Pepperjack Cheese: This box has 20 bacon-wrapped shrimp with pepperjack cheese. This was by far the favorite of everyone in attendance. It’s especially convenient that this Daily Chef product has the stick already in the shrimp; no spending extra time inserting toothpicks for this hostess!

If you are planning a holiday party this season, and just don’t know where to start, visit Sam’s Club. Everything you could possibly need from napkins, plastic ware, plates, desserts, appetizers, and full meal options are all in one store.

We had a positive shopping experience at Sam’s Club, and cannot wait to return so we can participate in the Sam’s Club “Simply Delicious Meals” Challenge.
