Holiday Gift Guide | Christmas on the Farm Review

I have always dreamed of celebrating Christmas with my loved ones on the farm so I was very excited to read this book with my family. “Christmas on the Farm” by Bob Artley is an extraordinary true look at one boy’s life on the family farm during the holidays. This is a Christmas book that is appealing for children and adults of all ages and it is perfect for reading small chapters of it each night during the season. The beautiful folk art water color illustrations really elevate the interesting text and you can almost feel yourself being transported back to another time. This is different from any of the other holiday themed books that I have read with my children and it has really captured all of our imaginations with the author’s stories about his most memorable Christmas at home in 1927, “Moms Kitchen” and “Dads Workshop.” Even my husband has enjoyed reading some of these stories aloud to our family and tells his own stories about working on a dairy farm when he was a young boy.

Christmas on the Farm is a wonderful holiday book and it is available for purchase from Pelican Publishing for the sale price of $18.36 (hardcover edition).
