Weight Loss

Week 11 on Nutrisystem #NSNation

I’m leaving for L.A. tomorrow morning (eek, I need to pack still!!) and I had hoped to lose a total of at least 10 lbs. before I went. Unfortunately that didn’t happen, but I still lost weight this week.

Today I weighed in at: 141.6 lbs. My weight doesn’t 100% match what it says on my photo ID, but it’s pretty darn close, and so I just have to be happy about that!!!

Nothing really new to report this week, other than that I gave in to a few cravings I should not have. I love regular soda, and I kept getting put into situations where the temptation was too great. I was having a terrific night, perfectly following the plan when my husband came home and saw me eating a salad and said, “oh, I guess I’m too late. I was going to suggest we go out.” I still had the rest of my dinner slots to fill up, and hadn’t eaten my Nutrisystem meal yet. So happily I agreed to go to Macaroni Grill.

Macaroni Grill’s menu has changed pretty drastically. They once offered their nutrition information on the menu, but now it’s gone. That makes it harder for me to pick something that tastes great but is also lower in calories than other favorite meals. They’ve also added a Tapas section to the menu, and even have a few dishes that are lower in calories. Unfortunately, none of those interested me. I decided to order my favorite dish, Chicken Parmesan.

I was smart about it, though. As I’ve said before, I don’t believe in completely eliminating my favorite meal from my life forever. I ordered that Chicken Parmesan, and requested that it be divided between two plates so I could share it with Zoe. We have a hard time getting her to eat entire meals at restaurants, so we each try to share something with her. Even with the plate being divided, it was still more food than I needed! I actually only ate about half of what was on my plate, which was only 25% of the entire meal. I felt full and satisfied. What I ate is about the portion size of a Nutrisystem meal, though it was probably higher in calories. I also gave in to that soda craving, but limited myself to one glass only.

Even though I didn’t overeat, I still felt full for about two days after that. I’m not sure why that is, though. The last time that happened to me was from eating at Olive Garden, so maybe Italian food is just too filling for me. I honestly just did not like the way it made me feel. I love both of these restaurants, but I can only go there so often.

I haven’t been to the gym for about a week, but plan on bringing some work out clothes to L.A. with me in the hopes that they have a fitness center. If not, I’ll have to improvise.

My measurements this week are:

  • Chest: 36 inches
  • Arms: 10.5 inches
  • Waist: 31 inches
  • Hips: 37.5 inches
  • Thighs: 21 inches
