I Love My Whirlpool Duet Washer and Dryer #WhirlpoolMoms

Every time I wash or dry a load of laundry using my Whirlpool® Duet washer and dryer, I find a new feature that helps me to save valuable time, resources and money. This washer and dryer duo have helped me to make the typical 1-2 loads of laundry per day a more pleasurable experience. The Duet® washer and dryer are user-friendly and self-guiding models that has numerous features including Precision Dispense, standard and specialty cycles, Wrinkle Shield with Steam, an Advanced Moisture Sensing Program and an EcoBoost Option.

I have enjoyed experimenting with all the various cycles and model features over the past three months and the Whirlpool® Duet continues to impress me. I would like to invite you to revisit my first two reviews if you have yet to read those because these go into depth with a lot of information regarding this washer and dryer duo.

In terms of saving time and resources, the Whirlpool Duet® is particularly efficient since my clothes are consistently clean and smelling fresh. I am constantly doing loads of laundry and in the past I have often washed clothes in the late evening and by morning when I went to transfer it to the dryer it already had a moldy smell so I would have to rewash it all over again. I love the FanFresh™ option which will periodically move the clothes around for up to 16 hours and has eliminated any odors or the need to rewash if my load of laundry sits in the washer overnight. This works really well when I am washing an oversized item like a comforter or blanket.

This weekend, my daughter spilled a purple cupcake on her white birthday t-shirt and I was afraid that it was ruined. I decided to try the Deep Clean Steam option which is designed to “penetrate deep into fabric fibers breaking down and dissolving stains like grass and grease without pre-treating.” I was very pleasantly surprised when the garment was washed using this option and I couldn’t find even a hint of residue left on her shirt. My husband refuses to believe that I didn’t use a stain remover (I promise…I didn’t).

I also frequently use the EcoBoost option because it saves additional resources by maximizing energy efficiency and lowers the water temperature. By using this option, I feel confident that I am not compromising on the cleanliness of my clothes because there has been no difference in the end result.

An additional time saver and one of my favorite features of the Duet® dryer are all of the various steam cycle options. I dislike ironing and thankfully have not had to pick one up since receiving this dryer. We use 100% cotton bedding and table linens which wrinkles very easily. I simply select the Quick Refresh Steam Cycle or the Enhanced Touch-Up Steam Cycle and my sheets, comforter, duvet, linens etc. are wrinkle free. I also use one of these features if I notice that a garment is wrinkled and after a quick steam it is ready to wear!

I have also been tracking my water bill which has been very consistent over the past two years. In September there was a savings of $12 from the norm and in October it had gone down by $17 with the only difference being the change in our washer and dryer. I have also been tracking our electric bill since these are energy efficient models and hope to have information available in my review next month.

Overall, I am very pleased with my experience using the Whirlpool ® Duet washer and dryer. You are invited to visit the Whirlpool® website in order to learn even more about the Duet® Washer and Dryer. It just may be the best appliance that you will ever own!

I wrote this review while participating in a test-drive campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Whirlpool and received a complimentary Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer to facilitate my review.
