Did you know that October 1 marked the start of Danger Season? Danger Season is a difficult time for children who have been abandoned, abused or neglected and live in group homes, shelters or temporary housing without adequate heat. There are currently 500,000 children in the USA living in shelters or foster care. Cold weather is now here to stay and these children need our help!
Carter’s is launching a program called Cuddles from Carter’s to provide clothing to these children in need. They have committed to donate 50,000 pairs of pajamas to the Pajama Program. The Pajama Program is a national non-profit organization that gives new pajamas and books to kids in foster care, temporary housing or homeless shelters.
I think it’s a wonderful initiative for Carter’s to take on and you can help! When you shop at Carter’s store or online at carters.com you can help this mission by adding a donation to your purchase to go directly to the Pajama Program. In-store donations can be made through October 17, 2011 (amounts are $1, $3 and $5) and online donations (amounts are $1, $5 and $10) can be made through December 31, 2011. Every little bit you can give helps!
I also have a special online promotional code to give you today to use at Carters online! Use the code PJFUN to receive 20% off your order of $40 or more. It expires October 17, 2011 at 3 am and can only be used on Carter’s products and can’t be stacked with any other offers.
Visit Carter’s online to donate and find store locations near you. You can also “Like” Carter’s on Facebook to stay up to date on the Cuddles from Carter’s program and learn more about upcoming promotions.
