I am so glad we made the switch to cloth diapers earlier this year. One thing my cloth using friends warned me about was how addicting it can be to buy new colors and prints. Nah, I’ll only buy what we need at the minimum! I said, naively. Well, I have learned that they were right. I find the colors and prints to be the fun part – and pulling together my daughter’s outfits!
I’m happy to say I have a new fun print added to our stash! I received the Tiny Tush Elite 1.1 Bubbles Print Diaper from BetterClothDiapers.com to review. Earlier this year I won a solid color Tiny Tush cloth diaper, so I’ve been familiar with the fit and function of Tiny Tush for several months. The Elite 1.1 is much like the other Tiny Tush diapers but now in 5 new prints and new colors with matching snaps. This is the first time they’ve had prints!
Tiny Tush Features:
- One size fits most babies 7-35lbs
- Pocket diaper with polyester microfleece lining
- Waterproof PUL outer shell
- Comes with 2 microfiber inserts – 1 large; 1 small
- 4 rise snap adjustments
- 2 rows of waist snaps (or in Aplix closure)
- Made in the USA
When my new diaper arrived I admired the vibrant colors of the bubbles. I checked to make sure both inserts were included. The 2 inserts that came with my Tiny Tush shell had Tweedle Bug labels on them. These inserts were a bit thicker and more absorbent than the Tiny Tush inserts that came with my other diaper.

Fit and Function
While the bubbles are cute, I know you are wondering how it fits and works! The fit is pretty trim and good on my tall, skinny daughter. I have the waist snapped about as tight as they go, so she has plenty of room to grow. She’s currently 9.5 months old, 17.5lbs, and 28.5in tall for size references. The casing around the thighs fit nicely without being too tight or too loose. The back pocket is roomy enough for even daddy hands to stuff. This makes it an overnight option since there’s room to stuff! It has survived day use, naps and overnight. It has also contained messes. I think we had one small compression leak after waking up from a nap, but that was once out of a month’s worth of use with this particular diaper. (We’ve had a couple small leaks with our other Tiny Tush as well.)
The inserts need to be removed before washing. The back end is not always safe from messes, but I can generally shake them out into our wetbag or pail. They wash and dry well for me. To lengthen the life of the shell, I hang it to dry. We haven’t had any staining issues on the lining either so far.
Final thoughts: I like to reach for this diaper for day use under cute dresses. It’s a diaper print I like to show off as part of her outfit. While it has worked for us at nap time and overnight, I prefer it for regular day use.
